Most of the territory of
Austria, two
thirds of the total, is within the Eastern section of the Alps, that
reach heights of more than 3000 ms. The population concentrates in
valleys of the rivers, between which it emphasizes the one of most
important, the Danube, that it enters Austria by Passau, in the
border with
Germany, happening through Linz and
Vienna, until
Bratislava, in the border with Slovakia. In
Germany it receives to
In, that it happens through Innsbruck, with his affluent the Salzach,
that happens through Salzburg. The lake of Constanza is greatest of
the country and forms the opposite west with
Germany and

Austria is
landlocked. It borders the
Czech Republic and
Germany
to the north, Slovakia and
Hungary
to the east, Slovenia and
Italy
to the south, and
Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west. The territory of
Austria is 83,871 km2 and has an alpine
climate prevails. Only 32% of the country is below 500 meters, and
